When Bigelow was asked about her achievement as a woman director, she said she thought herself as filmmaker and longs “for the day when a modifer can be a moot point.” She hoped that more people would see the film.

One reporter asked if she learned anything about filmmaking when she was married to “Avatar” director James Cameron. It reminds me of the time Hilary Clinton was asked if she ever asked her husband how to do her own job.

Ever thought that these men have learned from these incredibly talented women? Even after Bigelow’s exceptional win at the Oscars, is she still thought of as the ex-wife of James Cameron?
